What is Adapt232®?
Adapt232® is a unique medicinal product. It is a standardized fixed combination of active adapto-
genic substances, containg SHS-2, SHE-3 and SHR-5. Together, the three extracts give a synergetic
effect as they strengthen one another. SHE-3 has a positive effect on the general state of body’s
condition, SHS-2 increases the physical performance and SHR-5 the mental capacity.
Adapt232® is the only adaptogen combination clinically proven to work against tiredness. It is an
approved and registered Herbal Medicinal Product in Scandinavia and is produced according to
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
When and why should I use Adapt232®?
If you feel temporary physically or mentally tired, fatigue and stressed, you can just take one or
two tablespoons for a single-dose “pick-me-up”. For most people it is generally optimal to take
Adapt232® with breakfast in the morning. When using tablets take 1-2.
Adapt232® protects the body and brain against both acute and chronic stress and has immune-
modulating and anti-inflammatory properties, which protects the body’s organs. Therefore,
Adapt232® can be used to increase the non-specific resistance and general energy levels.
For people who have recently been ill and need a restorative, Adapt232® relieves tiredness during
recovery from infection and disease.
How fast do I feel any effect?
Adapt232® has a rapid and long-lasting effect. Scientific studies show an effect on both brain and body after only 30 minutes, which lasts more or less eight hours after intake.
How does it function?
Liquids, compared to tablets, are more quickly absorbed by the body. Adapt232® helps the body counteract mental and physical fatigue and at the same time the consumer builds up a reservoir of protection from stress itself.
Adapt232® reduces temporary fatigue; in addition the oxygen-absorbing capacity of the body is enhanced, it increases protection against stress and heightens lucidity and brain concentration.
How does Adapt232® interacts with other medicine?
One should always consult a doctor if prescription medications are taken. But in general, an adaptogen attempts to normalise the functions of the body. A classic adaptogen therefore does not bring the body out of equilibrium. Despite long experience and extensive clinical research, no interactions with medicinal products have been recorded. But, e.g. SHS-2 is a powerful relaxant on blood vessels, leading to better blood circulation. Therefore people with diabetes should consult a doctor. Obviously, one must always be aware that interactions can occur, but the likelihood is low.
Can I use Adapt232® during pregnancy?
There are many women who use Adapt 232® even during pregnancy and nursing. But one must always consult a doctor.
How often should I take Adapt232®?
Adapt232® can be taken as a stimulant, in a single dose. But as a classic adaptogen, it can be consumed repeatedly for one-four weeks, with washout periods of one-two weeks.
The normal dosage is 15 ml, or a table spoon, once or twice per day.
Are there any side-effects?
There are no records of side-effects published yet anywhere. Generally, the frequency of side-effects is very low, and does not differ from placebo. Unsettled stomach can occur. Some cases of nettle rash have been reported. In exceptional cases headache may occur for a few days.
SHS-2 is a powerful relaxant on blood vessels, leading to better blood circulation. People with diabetes should be aware of this.
What is an adaptogen?
An adaptogen is a substance that prepares and defends the body against different forms of physical, psychological, chemical or biological stress. ”The body’s non-specific response to stress increases”. An adaptogen normalises the body’s functions and increases the body’s tolerance to stress in all forms. It makes the body more adaptable, so that the body and brain can react more easily and rapidly to stress in a constructive way.
What does science say about adaptogens?
The mechanism of adaptogens are not yet completely understood, though it is obvious that adaptogens affect the body in a positive way when it comes to stress and immune defence. Many studies show that adaptogens increase the ability to handle stressful periods, according to Professor Alexander Panossian, one of the world’s leading adaptogen scientists. |
